About user groups and permissions

In EVH, every user belongs to one or more groups.
Groups determine what a user can access inside the platform.

By default, a newly registered and approved user has only very limited access to the platform’s resources.

What are resources?

These resources include:

• Chat resources such as rooms and spaces (see the guide: Chat Rooms and Spaces )
• Cloud resources such as folders and shared directories (see the guide: Nextcloud Group Folders )

To gain access to additional resources, a user must become a member of one or more groups.
This is managed through the Groups Interface available in the portal. The link to the Groups Interface can be found in the portal dashboard, header menu or directly here: EVH Groups
